Rise in films has given us various definition of love; some says love is life, some say love is friendship whereas some say love is passion. It’s unreal how complex have they made the true definition of love.
So, let's make some things easy, let's love....
Love, relieved in the name only, is a peace that draws you from the noise of the whole world and leads you towards immense peace.
But what actually love is?
When someone means to you so much that even if you look at someone else considering it a crime, that is love.
When while looking into someone's eyes, you start seeing yourself, that is love.
While spending time with someone, time wishes to stand still, that is love.
The one you cannot define, but they both define and find you, that is love.
Looking back at the 90's, this was love, it used to happen this way even after all the restrictions at that time the society had. Afterall, it used to happen in a way that one’s whole life would be lost in the arms of the other.
Even though they lacked communication due to the distance, but nothing left their love apart.
It is believed that love expresses itself not through text, but through letters.
They didn't have quick communication acces through phones, but yes, never rose distance in their love. The taste of waiting months for that first letter of the very first love, will not be absorbed by this generation. Keeping that one letter under your pillow to feel the presence of the other in those plain days is a level beyond these days of romance.
Feeling the anxiety and excitement to hear your lover’s voice on calls seldomly made cannot be matched today. The earrings felt like, they were talking to me. Salute of his eyes as she leaves the locality.
OK, now get your headphones, close your eyes and go for this track to have a feel of 90's love.
Try to feel it mister, you too will start falling in love.
Says that no matter how much the world changes love remains the same, right?
I don't think so because in this changing world love founds its new definition, love is on sale now, it starts shattering down.
Why today's generation is unsuccessful in love?
Let me share some reasons-
Instant-partner: In fast moving times, we have started falling short of 24 hours, in such a way we wish to have a partner with the same pace. Is it right to wish so?
No, it is said that the sooner something is found, the more it is in loss. Take time feel the love. Try to find love instead of a partner.
Date for the sake of dating; for today's Generation, dating is their favorite pastime they do. They date because they believe that we are supposed to date. They eagerly found someone whom they could love and in this thirst of desire, premature dating leads them into a detestable end of relationship.
Reality check- Our generation is too much addicted to reel life. From our childhood in the land of Disney world to our adulthood in some romantic Bollywood/Hollywood movie, we created a fairy tale world in the matter of love in our minds. We desire our love story to be same as those appealing movies. But no, your moments of bliss may match the movies but not your problems that arise with it. This breaks the expectations of a few and our relationships fail to workout.
Compromise issue- We want things as we wish, and why wouldn't we, after all we’re humans. If we could have it our way, why would we look for a compromise?
This thinking works until we get into a relationship. Once we get in one, our needs will not only depend on us but will be mutually dependent on both for which we have to compromise in some of the situations that our generation won't like to.
Relationship flex: This weird flex is trending these days. Our youth is so addicted to social media that they are getting into a relationship just to flex. I am not against it but the thing is they are lacking their love, affection, the real meaning of love behind in the race of flexing. Your love will not be defined by the amount of moment with your partner you upload on social media or tagging them. Keep your love away and private from this race until y’all are capable enough to establish it.
The thoughts of the people of 90's may be bygone, but the way to love and be loved will always be clean and pure. I wish I could have a taste of those days.
THANKYOU
